Hear.XLS! is a system of Excel spreadsheets containing attenuation information of CE-marked products on sale in the Finnish market (muffs and plugs). If you can measure A- and C-weighted noise levels from the workplace, with the help of Hear.XLS! you can easily:
- calculate the attenuation of all the hearing protectors in the market
- predict the noise level under the hearing protector (= in the ear)
- find the products giving optimum attenuation at your workplace
The database contains following information:
Name and type of the hearing protector
H-, M- and L-indexes based on the EC type examination tests
The user can adjust Hear.XLS! according to his needs. New products can be added and old can be removed. E.g. a sales organisation can include only those products that are in their assortment. Products not in the Finnish market can be added by the user himself/herself.
Impulse noise can be taken into account at the point of calculation.
The estimated effect of the impulse noise is visible also on the print out.
Hear.XLS! runs on Excel. It works also on olde Excel versions.
Hardware requirements are minimal: Hear.XLS! requires less than 1,0 MB free space on the disc.
